These cable protecting rings are used to protect an electric cable that is passing through a drilled or cut solid material where the edges are sharp.

These rubber grommets not only protectthe cable when passingthrough cut materials that may be sharp but also insulates surrounding materials from electrical current.

A super open grommet is used to protect cables or pipes passing through metal, plastic wood etc. panels. They may be used to prevent tearing or abrasion of the pierced material or protection from abrasion of the insulation on the wire, cable, line being routed through the penetration, and to cover sharp edges,or all of the above.
